In marble he finds an alchemic synthesis between technique and poetry. In the series “Sighs”, it’s as if the wind messed up a group of marble sheets, now as of paper, hung on the wall without any particular attention. Antonio Trotta persuades marble to softness. He makes it believe in its own lightness. Thus, we see sheets of marble moved by the wind as if they were paper!
