Nature is my teacher, my museum, and it is very important for me to receive its inspiration when I am immersed in it. Animals and plants keep producing works without thinking about making good seeds. The purpose of my expression is to blur all boundaries: for myself, men and women, past and present, heaven and hell, life and death, good and evil, beauty and ugliness, in fresh and realistic works. I think there are always the two extremes in a work in a hybrid state. Shinji Nakaba

Shinji works with the most disparate materials, like shells, pearls, plastic, gold, iron, and like an alchemist transforms any material into a sumptuous object. These eccentric and refined flowers are a perfect balance between an enameled metal mesh support and pure gold and stone inserts.
